Esme and Derek’s engagement session by the river during golden hour felt nothing short of magical, with warm light reflecting off the water and creating a soft, unforgettable atmosphere. Their story began in third grade, eventually rekindling years later when they both moved back home to Ephrata, Washington during the Covid season. What started as a first date at the dog park with their dog, Montey, quickly turned into something lasting, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. There was a quiet sweetness to the way they moved together — playful, familiar, and deeply connected — as if finding their way back to one another was always meant to be part of their story.
